Visiting Pilot

Post by Anonymous »

Hi,

I'm working up (it's up for a Brummie) in Newcastle (NE63) two weeks from today for four days and I'd like to bring the paraglider with me. Are there any sites nearby? Due to the nature of the job I will be available during the day for midweek flying

I'd like to try your sites if the weather is on, whats the procedure for visitors? I can't find a sites guide on your website and obviously I'd like to respect your sites & local rules when flying.

Can you clue me in on what I should do next?

Many thanks,

Just to clarify, the dates I will be in the area are the 7th-10th August inclusive.

Thanks.

Hi Matt give any of the coaches a ring and I'm sure they'll direct you to the best site for the day. The chances are if the weather's good you will be able to meet up with other members. Check the link out. The online site guide is being worked on at the moment.

Thanks for the quick response John, just to give me an idea, what's the average driving time/distance to your sites given that I'm staying in a NE63 postcode.

Obviously wind direction is a factor but just a rough idea would be good, thanks.

Hi Matty,

It looks like you are working in the Ashington area, so our sites in the cheviots will only be a 45 minute drive away.
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........
