I know it's a bit nerdy but if this link works can anyone tell me if this picture is a thermic cloud judging by the base indentation?

I'm just trying to put to good use some of the info from Chris Scammel's XC course & hoped it might start a trend of people doing the same

cant really tell from that picture without haveng reference to verticle development or height above ground

Thats 'Lenticular cloud' (wave bars) probably around 10,000 + asl and very strong wind.

Cheers everyone for your input, at the moment I don't understand how you can work out how high the cloud is let alone know how windy it would be!
