Everyone who lives dies, yet not everyone who dies, has lived. We take these risks not to escape life, but to prevent life from escaping us ...
The gliding club was from, King's College Newcastle 1937. {Not to sure about the Height?
It is reported that at times the wind can be so strong, that in the fields that are on the west side of the Pennines can have the turnips rolled out of the ground down the side of the mountain down to the bottom wall. And yet only one mile away to the west the wind is quite--gentle? "Now--not many people know that"

Remember I was telling you about the headstones in Kirkland Church yard Ron they all stoop to the west because of the strong easterly from the Helm Wind. worth a look if you're over that way.
