well interesting debate about this fire as it has been now 5 months since it started.

however we all were thinking it was something to do with the bricks works etc however this could not be further from the truth.

it is actualy shredded carpet waist that is compressed into bails ready for recycling or something, however they can not use water due to the chemicals that might go into the water table.

imaging how bad it must small when you live next to it, so they cannot put out washing etc.
this weekend was especialy bad due to high winds and on saturday morning it was at full blaze.

so there you have the truth about what the fire is and what is burning

It was on the local news about 4 weeks ago, still burning today, seemed like it was out a couple of weeks back but the wind has got things going again. I was speaking to a friend from Longfram, and they're fed up with it.
The news report said that the insurance company had to pay the firebrigade to get it extinguished,,,,,,that's obviously not happening in a hurry.

Just been on the news again. Problems with local drinking water if they extinguish the fire with water.
