well i decide to give it ne more yesterday and west hill was my choice, i parked up at the farm and the wind was none existant. however i thought you will not know unless you walk up to the hll and see. so off i went an was quite surprised with a constant 6-7 mph wind. i give ron don a ring as he was on tp and told him the news and said i was getting my wing out as the grass was dry. so i did just that and pulled the wing up and found there was enough wind to hold thewing up and kite it to the very top. this was done and i thought what the heck give it ago and fly left so you can land on the side if need be, well to my surprise i stayed level and then started getting above take off, i managed 45 minutes with the very end of the flight in light wave as i pushed out and got my best height gain only to bomb out just as ron turned up.
what a great day and must say i was flying the mentor 2 at 99kg very top and can say the sink rate and glide is very impressive.
cheers gary
