Tandem & Speedflying in the Lakes

Post by Chris L »

Two more videos of recent exploits

This one was meant to be a fell running weekend doing a traverse of the Old Crown Round ie Skiddaw, Blencathra, High Pike, Great Cockup and a couple others - with all the snow only managed one, so went for a tandem after with a fellow runner. Just managed to get taken off in deep snow

This was Saturday on Carrock Fell. Met up with an ex-skydiving buddy for a blast down Carrock, after having collected my new Bobcat 13.5, along with Geoff Davison & Jan on her speedwing. Walked in from Mungrisedale to avoid getting stuck in the snow followed by knee deep snow walking up Carrock.

We Hay, nice one Mr & Mrs Hurtle. Speed flight was the right word don't think I've seen a faster TTB off Carrock!

I was up Raise filming for BBC 'Inside out' progarm, plan was to do loads of speed flying and snow kiting, however the wind was super strong up there over 30 m.p.h. on the tops so only got a wee bit of footage. Anyway they are well up for doing a special report just on speed flying so you may be getting a call some time Chris if you fancy getting your ugly mug on the tele.
