!IMPORTANT!! If you use PG Forum (not the CSC forum), it has been hacked. If you use the same username/password combo on other web sites, go and change the password immediately :shock: :shock: :shock:

Just to put things in perspective here.

The hackers would have a;

user name
an email address
an encrypted password

The hacker does not know any of the other websites those users frequent to even try and use this information.

This forum http://www.phpbb.com/ has been and will always be the target of hackers (masturbating young boys still living with there mothers) as there are millions of these forums online, the code is open source so its very easy to look for any weakness, to brake into for fun. There are continuing updates to patch these holes as they are uncovered.

This random attack into the PG forum is on that and I for one will not be worried about my bank account being wiped out or my eBay account being used or anything else for that matter.

So unless you have placed your credit card details in your profile or PM'd them to someone I see very little need to concern yourself with what is little more than Mrs Johnson's cat has got stuck in the tree!!

Comical as to how this has been blown well out of proportion by the PG forum. They have been hacked like thosands of other forums have been before, you give them a email address, a user name and a password. I would be interested to know how they think this information alown can lead to the possibility of mass fraud. Infact if they indeed think that then what are they doing there end to protect this vital data, have all there staf been screend, do any one of them have a record, are they on the sex offender list?

Get a grip PG forum and deflate your ego's.!

Hacked!

Post by GlennP »

Why don't these hackers just go and knock on the door of their nearest goverment department? They will hand over a CD with millions of names, addresses and bank details.

Better that than losing it in the post. :lol:
