What can I say?????

A huge THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
To all that attended,
To all that contributed,
To all that took part,
To all that enjoyed themselves,
To all that made yet another great evening!!!!!!

On the night we raised £300 to put to the pledges and gifts of £320. Claire is going to contact the the trophy maker in America that Gary Sten found and make a final decision fairly quickly, she will keep us updated on progress. Any monies left over will be donated to the Air Ambulance through Gary's family.
The generosity of our club members is overwhelming, thanks again everyone, and thanks to the people from other clubs who made donations as well.
Well done to Ron Don and Gary, winners of the Winter XC League.

Aye, a great night.
Does anyone know which cleaning product to use to get egg yolk, honey and beer off the pages of the wifes flower arranging book. I've tried lemon, vinigar and washing up liquid, but I think I've made the problem worse?
Damn that thermalling experiment, I should have known that Ali was having me on.
No more theory for me!

In case you were wondering... The honey signifies the reluctance of us newbies to leave the ridge, worked quite well too until the heat from the hair drier melted it, then a draft from the front door produced a front, the resultant convergance is now stuck pages 56 through to 75 (Lillies and Leaves section).
When the honey got into the hair drier element, the fuse blew, yolk everywhere. I tried the egg white first working on the theory of white wine cleans up red wine. Didn't help, neither did screaming at the egg mixture at 3 am, just woke the wife up.

The goldfish bowl bubbles.... non starter, now looking for a new fish with the same markings before the kids get home...cheers Brian.
I think we've been sandbagged guys, they can do it, we can't and they dont want us to, so they fill our heads with bl***y cake recipies and call it hydodynamic thermal theory.
We've been had. Poor Glenn paid £20 for an Ali voucher and he's going to come away with a Victoria sponge and a dozen fairy cakes.
I'm going flying to do what I normally do, follow the guy in front and do what he does.
My head hurts

Damn, you are far to quick to work out our cunning plan to acquire the birthday cake for John's next birthday.
If all else fails I'll ask for a flower arrangement insted.
(you had to be there)
Good to hear your humour back on the site Jim, have a good flight today, but whatever you do, don't follow Gary!!!!
