April Meeting, Winter Trophy presentation, Auction, Raffle,

Post by brian day »

Hi,
This month’s meeting on April 1st is an absolute must to attend.
We have the presentations of the winter xc league trophies, (will I ever win anything?) Well done to all those who took part and pushed the winners so closely.
Following that we will have a small auction, yes the naked auctioneers are back!!!! Control yourselves girls!
And finally, a chance to show your flying knowledge in the quiz of the year, The Egg Heads will make a guest appearance. (somewhere at sometime). With the host for the evening, star in a pod harness, your very own Mr JW.
Throughout the evening the scouser from Sunderland masquerading as Elvis will tempt you with some fantastic prizes from his raffle.
All proceeds from the evening will be put with the donations and pledges already received to purchase the Gary Porter Trophy.
The pre – meeting talk in will be on Thermals and thermal flying. I’m hoping Mr Guthrie will put in an early appearance away from his baby sitting duties to help us all along.
Pre meeting talk; 7.15pm
Presentations; 8.15pm
Auction; 8.30pm
Quiz; 9.00
As usual all times are ‘ish’ but we will attempt to stick as closely as we can to them.
Please come along and make it a great evening.
See you out there!!!!!

Hi Brian,
I have posted your message on the CSC forum.
I dare not email the message on to our members since they have had two from me within a week advising of meetings (last weekend for 26th March and this weekend for 6th April).
Whilst all CSC members have a massively high IQ rating - yet another email will just confuse them.

Good luck on the night - too far for me to travel - but with some of the money saved from travelling - please ask Myerscouse to put in £10 worth of tickets in the raffle for me - I promise to send the cash (payable to?) or pay him personally next time on the hill - win or lose of course! :)

Lance

Cheers Lance, thanks very much. It's actually Bill Scott, not Paul.
See you out there!!!!!
