Hi All,
I've just heard that an NHPC member has won the B comp at Grasmere. As you all probably know, this is an accuracy comp. I'll let him tell this forum his identity and all the gory details when he returns victorious, the A comp was won by a CSC member. Those of us members of both clubs can be doubly proud.
Cheers
Jim.
P.S. I had another day of sitting on a hill near Great Ayton today with a great sky above, just moving a bit fast that's all!

Great day at Grasmere
I'm not letting on who won the B comp - it wasn't me though
Fantastic day at the show - all pilots had as much soaring time as they wanted in lovely sunny and very flyable conditions
Exactly the opposite to the forecast 24 hours ago
Many thanks to the CSC for organising and managing, and specially Chris Field who must have a direct line to Big G cos every year he lays on flyable weather, never mind the forecast
I think the NHPC (in the form of Eddie Davis) also won the get-yer-kit-unpacked-and-wing-over-head comp in the showground
We even had four teenage volunteers from the spectators in the harnesses and feet off the ground after the comp this year - went down brilliantly with the crowd.
Dave Robinson and Catherine flew down on the tandem to deliver the Olympic flag to a runner in the showground, executing a perfect landing in exactly the right spot - how cool is that?
It doesn't get better than this
Some pics of the comp in the Photos section. More on video later
