weather for the weekend

Post by gary stenhouse »

well the van was packed the nerves have started and i am raring to go. then you check the updated weather and bang its all changing again.

now showing westerly for sat down the mynd then sunday rain and easterly.

up north a good swesterly saturday followed by sunshine ne sunday, so it looks like the last minute decision is going to be made for the mynd.

come on weather you need to be good as we need 2 good days with 4 nkpc members going to the mynd to kick ass.

I checked on Monday and got a similar forecast, which is still holding true. Sunday could be a bit misty up here, but I think you need to go tonight and fly Friday and Saturday if you're going to the Mynd.
Having done the last few weekends away, I'm staying at home, well possibly XFell for Saturday and wait and see for Sunday.

Where did Alistair get his info about the Homegrown being canceled?
See you out there!!!!!

hope the weather changes though it looks to me like a weekend in the lakes is the best chance of flying or even northumberland.

looking dark grey overcast rain for friday at the mynd
saturday looks to be dark grey clowds and nw 9mph
sunday looks to be wet and easterly 10mph

so with aforecast like that it comes to think that the mynd might not be the place to be at least for friday saturday sunday.

so i will be leaving decisions to the last minute for the trip down as i can only do the 2 days so it will be no point in going if the first 2 our not flyable

cheers gary
