Cumrew

Post by Bob Sutherland »

Steve Truwick has been contacted by a drystane dyker who would like it to be known, he has sole permission to fly Cumrew. obviously working closely with landowners, farmers and gamekeepers has its benefits.
He is not a member of NHPC.
So, if you see someone flying there, don't assume it's ok for you. It's not.
I'm sure when Ron Don returns he will add note.

That's a bit like rubbing salt in the wounds. You can't fly but he can, he obviously doesn't effect the birds like our gliders do.....Double standards or what.

It's all about "who" you know John.
I suppose in the defence of the land owner/gamekeeper they could argue one paraglider isn't going to upset very much.

what absolute bollocks - either the flying scares the birds or it doesn't.

Who has given permission Mr Waugh or the Gamekeeper?

I'm a drystone dyker, and so is my wife.

I would assume the one who issues the contract for the dykes to be rebuilt.
