Thinking of buying a new glider?

This is a blatant thumbs up for Gradient!

I recently took delivery of my lovely new Avax2XC. This is not about how wonderful the glider is to fly (but it is!). Or about its DHV 2-3 rating (hardly surprising). No this is about top notch customer service!

Delivery problems (due to demand of the wing) were compensated for by Mr Burkett by offers of gliders to fill the gap - thanks Kitt!

The impressive thing is the guarantee that comes with Gradient! A one year no quibble damage repair warrantee! I tested this on my best ever days PG last week when I got lucky in the highlands. After a short flight to the middle of nowhere (really the middle of nowhere!). Myself and a couple of others climbed a remote munro to launch again then to fly across the Cairngorms to Aboyne.

The last time I went through this territory I was with Mr W back in 1999 (?) – my most memorable HG flight ever! Scotland rocks!

Unfortunately the Scottish mountains took a nibble of my glider on the second launch and ripped the top out of 3 of the cells  . A line snagged on a rock and the wing flipped over onto some scree - not good. Lucky we didn't spot the damage until we took off; it would have been a long walk! On landing and seeing the damage I breathed deep and rang Kitt. Pay for the return postage to the factory and your covered for free - Champion, very lucky lad am I!

Just another factor to consider when buying your wing. I know Nova have a similar warrantee (Bill?) but others do not (and I very nearly bought one of them!). Gradient have been superb and just confirmed safe arrival of the wing at the factory so I am looking forward to my brand new (for a second time) wing to arrive :D .

So add it to the 'desirable features' list and fill in the warrantee card when it arrives!

Very Well Done Misk, It looks you are flying with giants. Interesting comments on your new wing?
