Bringing your raspberry's to the boil

Post by MadDog »

Well, it seems a long time gone since I last wrote to the board…I always tended to think that if you had something to say, then the board was the place to say it…..
How wrong can you be?
Nobody seems to be saying anything of interest, only reacting to what was said before…kindly step aside then and let a real hasbeen get a little word in edgways...If others can say nothing, then why can't I?
If they can say nothing at all….then here’s my two penny’s worth
I am still waiting for the year to start….and what is it now?.....Early May…and the nearest that I have gotton to flying was a day on Hordon…Does that count as aviation?.....I could have dived off the coalhouse roof and injured my shoulder, with only a little less airtime…..and saved myself the petrol money into the bargain…and its not just the petrol money, that Gary’s ripping me off for…the medical costs, the broken uprights….
I’m having to pay more and more visits to the bullion shed these days….slicing ingot after ingot to pay for all the injuries I’ve had this year …..from memory….
Two broken uprights……£100
Time off work……………£200
Chiropractor………………£45
Physio……………………..£35
Psychiatrist………………..£1.50
Buddy can you spare me a dime?
Still I can rise above all this….Life goes on in Slippywing Hollow despite the rising cost of living/dying….every non-entity has his day, and the wind of changes still blows for this little lad….I just don’t care if Andrew has got a new Airborne topless, or Gary W has came to some arrangement with the force of gravity, or that Wallis is finally recovered from rabies, and has the bit between his teeth once more…
Stuff them all..
Come the morning I’m going to screw on that new wooden leg, throw the Zimmer frame into the bin, polish up my new glass eye, re-adjust the hump and I should be at the OK corral for bang on twelve o’clock….
All things being equal then, I’ve decided that this year is going to be my favourite year, not withstanding that it may be my last….This sport that thrills, also kills, but not if you keep things in there right perspective….Now where did I put that other gauntlet?
So that’s my little bit said again…
Good flying to you….May the vertical component stay with you…..
Especially if I’m on my way to join you!

Life is a space you occupy but cannot fill.

Any more talk like this and it will be your last year because I'll give you a good hiding. Make the effort and look after yourself better, eat better food, rest more and get down to that swimming pool and exercise. By the end of the summer you will feel like a different man.

We all care about you John so make the effort for us, I mean it!

Everyone who lives dies, yet not everyone who dies, has lived. We take these risks not to escape life, but to prevent life from escaping us ...

Don't worry about John "The Dog" Miller. I will be introducing him into the world of shooting grave yards, it might give him a chance to see what he's missing.

Never heard him complain about the one he's got, it's the only thing he doesn't gripe about!
