Hi Steve and Ronnie
You’re probably going to tell me this is a stupid idea and can’t be done, but if you check out my website, www.wheelchairsteve.com, you’ll see that if anyone tells me that I “can’t” do something, that makes me more determined to do it!
You will see from my website that I’ve done a couple of things outside my comfort zone in aid of charity, and I’d appreciate your help in trying to organize another one.
I’d like to parasail down the Tyne from Tynemouth to Newcastle, ending up going under the Millennium Bridge and landing just in front of the Tyne Bridge!
OK! I agree it’s a stupid idea, but why not?
I’d like to do this in support of Bobby Robson’s new fund raising initiative to raise £500,000 for The Sir Bobby Robson Cancer Trial And Research Centre. Both my parents died from cancer, so I am very supportive of what he is trying to achieve.
I know this is different from paragliding which is what you do in your club, but I thought that due to it’s similarity, you might have contacts you could give me so that I can start to make my event happen, ideally later this summer.
