Brilliant afternoon at East Hill!

Post by AlastairW »

Nah.... not really......

But I thought I would get you all going..... :D :D

After having rang just about everyone in the club, I decided, in spite of the apparent lack of wind, to head up to East Hill.

I got there to find Woody and Bob rigging there hangliders.... and I thought I was an optimist!!!

They claimed they were doing a pre season check on the hangliders, but you could tell by the crazed look in their eyes that they had intended to fly....

Wandered over to the pimple, to find the wind JUST to light..... it kept coming and going, tantalising and teasing, with the thought that in just a few minutes it will be on......

After three short hops and carry ups I decided that the weather goddess was as ever going to be fickle once again, and repaired home to fix the dishwasher and loo.......

Beautiful afternoon though, very spring like....

That would be coil rather than leaf.....
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........

Good pictures Chris. It just shows that there is an upside to a non flyable day especially when rewarded with a view like that.
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
Just pee on it and walk away.
