interesting glide angles

Post by gary stenhouse »

well i was looking at my glide angle from my flight the other day and it looks like i flew approx 1.3k and decended 100m that gives a glide of 13-1 that is taken into account approaches etc. wow into wind aswell although very light it does show the performance advantage over my pg.

very exiting stuff but lets see how it will work in real flying conditions.
it won't be long untill i am back part of the general flying comunity again and i will still be flying pg, mind i will be using my hg over my pg at first. so i will be taken a airhorne at first, and also there will be some help needed to let me get some clear air to get off and up. i am sure though that good etiket will be taken just to see me fly a hg, as you will see it will be scarry at first untill i will have the ability to avoid collisions with pg if it is scratchy.

cheers gary
