The Southern side of the top take off has a reputation for being a bit iffy.....
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........

Hmmmm! What a shame I'm working and can't go, but I practiced that move yesterday (cache) The trick was to do it with a bit more height though (whew) .
Next time I want a chat Steve I'll use the phone or radio (mp)(s) rather than calling round!

That looks like the 1700m take off - where we saw some russian chap hit the trees on take off a couple of years ago. That was on an NHPC SIV jamboree too - so take care!!

Complicated (bone sticking out through skin!) fracture of leg, broken hip, various internal injuries (puke)

Most painful part of the whole sorry mess was he didn't have medical insurance :o
