Is the guy in this photo with no helmet and therefore uninsured by the BHPA one of our members or one of yours Gordy?!!!!

Is he really uninsured Mike? Helmet or not surely it makes no odds to a third party claim?
****** is a very experienced pilot - I'm sure he assessed the risk and reward of flying on this day without a lid and found it a liberating experience in safe conditions, nothing wrong with personal educated choice?

Yep!
It looks like the insurance may be invalid without a helmet, lucky he didn't have to claim. http://www.bhpa.co.uk/pdf/Insurance_Summary.pdf
Or maybe he put his helmet on again before landing? Outrageous behaviour

Irresponsible, bad example to set...I could keep going.
Some off you will know Swanny and his eccentric ways! Yep he's the guy who crashed into the tents at last years LCC also not wearing a helmet. No point trying to gloss over the fact its not big or clever and if you choose to fly in an 'excitable' way its even more irresponsible.
I must be honest and admit to occasionally choosing to fly with helmet strapped to my harness, when ground handling up a hill on a hot day. However once in the air I do don my lid as soon as posable. As for Swanny I have told him a number of times about flying so openly with out one and intend to bend his ear further when I next see him. Problem is the little buggers just gone back to New Zealand and won't be back here until next spring....Oh well we are all safe until then!
