BPC
South Wales round of the BPC last weekend. Day 1 we were on the Blorange, the task was 30k+ triangle to Pandy, Crickhowell and back to Abbergaveny. Hazy conditions, more stable as the day progressed saw only 7 pilots make it past min distance, Ali was second behind Dave Snowdon about 4k short of Crickhowell, no one made goal. I was with the other mortals. The “Race” points system seemed to be a total bollocks with 1st getting only 200point while min distance got 100!
Sunday we went to Pandy for a 60k out and return x2 ridge run, first on the main ridge the a jump forward onto Hay, back to takeoff then over the back to Abbergaveny. Most people went down trying to get forward onto Hay or went down once they got there. I did aprox 32k. We think Alex Coleman (not our Alex Coltman) won the day about 5k short of goal but we left about 7.45, before the results were announced, I got home at 1.30 in the morning.
Overall, a nice weekend away, flew some new sites, good crack, looking forward to the next round in the Dales in 4 weeks time.
