Does Miskin have the same effect on you?

Post by MadDog »

I was reasonably happy swimming around in this little goldfish bowl some people call life….
Nowts the bother, the winds been howling around the rafters for the whole weekend, the rain has been pelting on the glass of the sanatorium….alls well with the world, if this is what I’m getting, then others must be in the same boat…Right?
Right?
Please tell me……Right?
Cue music……Jaws!
While I was at home knitting,
Miskin (I hate him!) was doing a 90 k flight…… which would have been more but for the Solway Firth…..Thank heavens for that lovely stretch of water….bless its watery ness forever and forever more!
Just when you thought it was safe to be resting on your laurels somebody puts a flight like that on the XC league….What a sickener.
And you know what the hardest part is?.....
We can’t make excuses…
Well Gary can,
But not us, we could have went to Tinto, we could have signed on the dotted line for a big xc as well, its so easy you just get in the car and go to where the action is….but no!......Just like Wallace and Grommit we got stuck into a pot of tea and some buttered toast, and wound up the clock when it was time to go to bed.
More corvettes Bob?
I’m definitely going to end it all when I’ve finished writing this!

Just leave your vario on the doorstep John. (chuckle)
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
Just pee on it and walk away.

I put the blame firmly in the hands of that Fingers (finger) . Without his stupid little computer XC League, Everyone would be going ....OH yes Miskin....I'm sure you did,,,,,uh hu! (disagree) (disagree) (zzz) (zzz)

But,,,, and there are two big buts actually (mooning) (mooning)
He can fly one of those little things with a motor.
AND........Did he infringe that Danger Zone and just erase the track data from that point onward? |-(

And the water......it's only a little bit,,,,,no more than a pond really,,,,what a wuss (wasntme)

All meant in the best possible taste!!! Well done Ian, great flight, you highly skillful barsteward (envy) (envy) (envy) (bow) (bow)
See you out there!!!!!

Surf crazed and dazed

Thanks Guys - I'll do a write up later when I get a little more spare time.

If the truth be told when they called the task it was a strong but flyable wind, as soon as the window opened it picked up and was strong. Too strong for me so I sat it out with the glider in the bag not wanting to risk it - wishing I had the HG. It calmed down a little at 3 and I launched well after everyone else. Having done so badly in the first task I decided to forget the task and just fly the sky.

The real praise should go to Chris Foster for a good score in the first task and his first goal flight on Monday - must have been in the top 10 for the comp and easily the best Northumbrian - Well Done Chris.

BIG thanks to Steve and Naomi for the retrieve - I was on earlies the next morning (qieh)

I'll write more blather when I get chance.......See you at the LCC......
