Model Ridge today

Post by John Wallis »

Great days fun on the Model Ridge today. Maltby and fenny arrived early to carve their names on the bog door of the cafe just below where the swallows are nesting (h) . Rutherford and I arrived around 10.30 then had to have the bacon sarnie and cuppa followed by tea cake and jam. Ron Don turned up as did Jan and Chris. Gary rang 450 times to check on what was happening. (x) Maltby must have flow for 5 hours today the bloke's an animal......and oh yes he didn't get as far as me on the bedspread XC competition (mooning)

Bloody great day out

Thanks to Rutherford again for picking up the XC pilots :Bore:

Keep it down John, some of us have to work.

How quickly one has forgotten who bombed out in the losers emergency landing field not last week....

And I wonder if you will still be referring to your highly sophisticated flying machine as bedroom laundry after you've come back from Turkey.

But hey I am so pleased you enjoyed yourself today whilst most of us had work to do, I aint bitter.

well i endended up with a nice hour at the dune to pilah seaton sluice. had a great flight landing on the nice piece of graas on the other side of the road, i decided i would reverse my glider upside down to get out any unwanted sand. only to find out the wind was a lot stronger than i thought and ended up with a good dragon over towards the deen with my canopy flying from the telegraph pole. i did try the shoes off method to try and shinny up but unfortunately i ain't 10 anymoor. had to give in and ring for assistance and a set of ladders and gill came to the rescue with a big smirk on her face. all an all a very enjoyable evening so close to home, roll on turkey
