Excellent day at weather fell

Arrived around eleven to see about six paragliders thermalling and quickly going XC (pete and neil from northern were two of em). Sat for around an hour to see how the weather was panning out. It shifted onto the hill from 12-16mph. After a few people took off going forwards (instead of backwards) i took off climbing immediatly. Loads of lift everywhere with nice thermals coming through, very easy to stay up and get height! Also only about five gliders in the air at anyone time giving lots of room to play around.

This was pretty much the story for the rest of the day with conditions smoothing out as the day progressed. I left around half five as was knackered - really tiring conecntrating all the time when you dont have much airtime. Got a little over two hours airtime in (four flights) throughout the day. Someone in a blue glider stayed up nearly the whole time, gliders were still flying and people turning up as i left.

Anyway an excellent day lets hope conditions like this continue for the rest of the summer (not likely?!?!) dont know if anyone from northumbria club was there today?

Hope everyone got some good flying in today, i did and it does make the beer take that much nicer when you get back!
