100K's from a northern site?
Don't want to pee on your parade Gary but nobady has yet flown over 100k's from Cumbria or Northumbria (I think?) ever on a paraglider. Its not quite as easy as you may think. Nigel Page did 94k's in 1994 that stood untill Ali's flight of 97K's which unfortunatley entered airspace and Birkitts flight from earlyer this year was 95k in a straight line (As all site open distance records are messured striaght line)
So the gauntlet is laid down for sure but I don't think you or I Gary will be beating it in the near future, put it this way just try going 50K first and see how hard that is in this country.

The distance I flew in Brazil Neil?
Or could it be something else.. hmmmmm
Looking forward to the Saturday night of the final....
The flying this year may have been crap..... but the BCC has produced some wonderful weekends, starting with that mad Saturday night in the Peak District.... playing touch rugby with a light stick at midnight.... the emphasis being less on touch than full body charge.... then being reduced to tears by Neils Lectures on XC flying....
Then sat outside Lord Stones Cafe at 1am after about 7 pints of old peculier....
The night in the lakes, in Steves Luckshury flat... mint...
The evening spent soaring the cliffs at Lowca till after 9pm.. just cos we didnt have to go home!
Cracking year!

It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........
