As you may know last weekend was the 2007 British National Paramotoring championships. Tragically Julius Gee from Bristol, was tragically killed when he failed to recover in time from an aerobatic maneourvre. He fell vertically from around 100ft and landed around 20mts from where I was marshalling. He was part of the Paramania team and some of our Paramotorists may know him.
He was only young and lived life to the full and tragically ended his life too soon but at least he died doing what he loved most. This is the first Paramotoring Fatality in the UK and my thoughts are with Julius's family and friends at this time.
It has been requested by the Family that there is no internet speculation on why this happened so please respect that request. I have spent the last 24 hours with the Air accident investigation board who along with the coroner will complete a thorough investigation.
Please fly safe guys and give yourselves plenty of height for any required recovery.
Fly free Julius.
I'll never forget your smile.
Thankyou.
Mike
