Just over a year since you past your c.p. with me and you have already beat my personal best!

Looking forward to a thermal by thermal account of your flight. We had big cu-nims around here at the time you were flying with heavy rain and snow showers on the fells as well as gusty winds. Was it a bit full on where you were?

Well done anyway mate and if you have learnt to use your GPS as well as you fly you might stand a chance in the LCC the year!

Well done Ian.

I'd totally written the day off with wind gusting 45mph at Carlton, but hadn't realised it was so much lighter in the west.

Another ex hang glider showing everyone how it's done.....

Monday was excellent at Tinto - there was some thermic activity when the sky was grey until about 2pm, then the sun came out and it's started booming properly.

More than 30 paragliders. I think. And 3 hanggliders.

I didn't go far because (skipping my excuses) but MikeA on his CombatL has flown 56km to declared goal at Lockerbie and flew on for another 10km.

Those who went over the back without much height have had a bit of a wild ride - me and Steve on HGs and Gordon on a PG (first time I've seen such a rock-n-roll!) Air was rough even 1000ft above the hill top over the lee side.

Best flying day I've had this year!

Also met Ali, ChrisF and Steve(&Dee), and of course Ian-the hero 8)
