One of those 'you had to be there moments'. The videos taken around 5.30 when I was enjoying a boat about.
After seeing how light the wind was when we arrived at lunch time I opted to go skiing taking the paraglider with me for a big fly down if now't else. After a great afternoons skiing to the accompaniment of Johnny Cash blasting out around the mountain thanks to a big air comp going on, I decided it was time to fly. The conditions had been good for about hour and a half so with skis, flying suit, ski jacket, camera e.t.c I laid out on the top patch of snow in a 12MPH+ wind. Done loads of ski launching over the years but not reverse! Got of no prob's and there was just so much lift I couldn't help myself. After another hour and a half I found myself at about 4 grand in the middle of the valley unable to find sink...anywhere! It was time to spiral it off and figure out how I was going to land in a small carpark, surrounded by peat bogs, with a huge pair of planks strapped to my feet. All was well managed to find a tiny bit of grass!
Ahh 'you had to be there'
