Gary you'll have Ronnie to answer to mind :) Interesting though I suppose it says if you're after big XC flights these are the places to go and that's a fact. However there's still good flying to be had in other parts of the UK.

Maybe if you just looked at a population map of England it might be a bit similar!
Not everyone logs flights either, some are happy just to fly and enjoy the experience.

With the current forecast I think it would be easy,,,,,if you could manage to get off the ground, does it count on the end of a kite?

If thats the case Gary, the pilots who have achieved breaking a Club XC record they should get it logged and listed so everyone knows the current XC record from that site.

all we need is enough pilots on the hill all who are happy at cloud base and hang about with good radio.

then we have to gaggle fly as well as making moves based on the sky or confirmed lift ahead.

what could be possible to break records is to have a good ppg pilot who can fly off ahead and thermal mark or doodlebug

now that would be cool way to break records and don't see that it would be ilegal :D :D :D

So actually it looks pretty good now.. how long has it been since these flights were done and I don't understand why they have not been listed as records ?

If you mean the record list that I have posted on the website it hasn't been kept up to date because it is very exhaustive checking the same info over and over again for changes. I put a note on the bottom asking people to notify me of a record flight but so far I think I've had one person
If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country

brian your record flight was not the one your thinking of as that was 10.89k but you slaughtered that when you got in the convergence and went 11k in 24 minutes.

I think the great thing is we done most of these in the 2-3 years once we started trying the freemans and I think rasp had a lot to do with it.

I think there is a big flight just round the corner but when who know but I do think we will see 100k done in the next few years.

Ah yes, how could I forget such a memorable flight! :)

Hi Colin I don't understand members achieving club xc records and not putting them forward for listing ?
