Yep really enjoyed that and very useful. As a matter of interest when I got home I dug out the paperwork for my Kobo and looked up the thermal screen it actually said and it was underlined that the thermal function will not work on the Kobo!!! If anyone does get in contact with Neville Almond who sells them it may be worth a mention about this particular function.

Agreed thanks Lloyd - interesting stuff. I now sort of regret buying my flytech 6015 - the kobo or android with xcsoar seems really great value and perfectly functional - love the thermalling function.

i notice in skywings today neville almond is asking people to sned their own kobo to him for upgrade becuase new kobos are harder to buy now

re my flytech 6015 - I really need a hand learning how to download my flights to gps dump via flychart on my pc - is there anybody out there that has had one before and could help me? its nearlly full with flights.

I think you can download your flights using GPS dump, It lists the flytech 60?? series as a compatable model.

You should be able to plug your instument in then on gps dump goto LOGS at the top then READ FLYTECH
If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country
