Two classic pictures of Convergence & rotor
First pic is the back of East hill where the Sea breeze convergence cloud has advanced onto the s.e. face of the hill and has become trapped by the n.w. 20mph wind.
The rotor cloud is coming off the back of Hedge hope + about 1000ft above the rotor cloud there were big wave clouds adding to the washing machine below.
Its very easy to confuse these types of cloud, the first pic produces good lift in front of the cloud and the rotor cloud produce bad turbulence.
