Our very own superhero Ron 'birdman' Freeman will be making an appearance to tell us about his record smashing flights at the Bognor and Worthing competitions. Not many people realize that these competitions have huge cash prizes, the Bognor one alone was recently 20k and Ronnie has won them every year for as long as I can remember. This probably makes him the highest paid professional hang-glider pilot in the world
Hope he can find a parking space for his Rolls Royce Joking aside he has put an amazing amount of effort into these events and on Wednesday will be giving us the inside story. Ronnie has a vast amount of knowledge regarding the Cheviot hills AKA the freeman's and will also be talking about sea breeze convergence and how this can be used in xc flying.
Its going to be another cracking night
so get there early to make sure you get a seat and we can get the club business done quickly then hand over to Ronnie.
