Big beach clean up

As its such a lovely day, I'm sure I won't be able to drag any of you away from flying,,,,,,but,,,,,

At 11.00am
67 events country wide, organised by local surfers under the banner of Surfers Against Sewage, are helping to clean our beaches of plastic to recycle it.
Please come and show your support.
Blyth beach at the bandstand, with gloves and bags and a free hot drink at the vans afterwards.
Fun and games for all the family.
Open water swim.
Toe dip for the sensible.

Well, with high winds and a high tide the beach was spectacular. Over 200 refuse sacs of plastic and nylon rope were picked from the beach between the bandstand and the first groins. So that's a lot of recycled rubbish and a lot of happy beach goers.

Thanks to Ron who turned up and did his bit and to all the others that turned up too. 47 in all on the list and more arriving as I left to warm up. A very succesful day at Blyth.
