Good call, really enjoyed last year in Newcastle, I'd certainly go back there again.

I don't know what to say, cheers Jim out of 70+ views your the only one to reply. I don't know why I'm surprised but a NON member realised that with no entertainments officer there was no one to arrange a club meal out so with permission has taken on sorting it out, not knowing Newcastle very well these days she has asked for ideas and I find it hard to believe that out of 70 views no one has eaten in Newcastle or heard of anywhere good in Newcastle.
If Acro was easy they'd call it Cross Country

Good response as usual but I think it is always a hard call as there is a lot of folk who have things on at this time of year. I think it is almost better to pick a day that suits most people then pick a venue that is at the right price . I do think that better to go for more the middle than the end as then there is less likely hood of clashing with othersbworks do etc.

Must say it has been a while since I have ventured out in town so not well up on the gen. However 21 queens has a nice private room for a big number but would be very price .

We could always throw a few ideas about at the club meeting

All Julie has asked for is ideas for venue she has decided to keep it a Friday no one has asked anyone to commit to anything just a recommendation failing any suggestions coming in she has already got prices from the last two we went to and I must say kubla khans is offering a very good discount and a few bottles of wine if we could get 20 there but still good discounts to be had with fewer, but all she wants is suggestions of restaurants.

Colin.... Julie will discover she is about to embark on the most frustrating and impossible task of trying to get club members organised for an evening that best suits peoples diaries and cuisine (headbang)
From bitter experience of pulling these together I'd propose one or two nights where the restaurants have got availability get a consensus and get it booked. (Then let people sort out their deposits with the restaurant)
We like Kubla Kahn or Prima, but love Indian/Curries.
Anything involving drinking and food suits us
Thank you for organising :)
Feel the fear and do it anyway!

Sorry colin read the post few days ago and meant to reply and forgot.
Colin and I both enjoyed the night out last year at prima and would eat any type of food on offer and would go to most restaurant.
But first need a date as that is more important to see how many people are available to go, especially the nearer it gets to xmas if your thinking of a friday night.
Pick a night, post it and if you need feed back on resturants in newcastle we can get some ideas when we know who can go and what they like to eat.

And thanks for encouraging the xmas night out I think its a great idea

Not sure how this sits but could we not just combine are last meeting december do as it is going to be tihe second Wednesday in the month. We could try and get the full Christmas dinner with trimmings followed by the trophy presentation. Not sure how this would fit with other people as I think it would be a easy solution in Avery busy world.

Cheers Gary
