photos and videos of Lowca

Post by bdoub »

Spent most of the day on Lowca watching Chris Little and Rob on speed wings. I got a chance to fly Chris's (I owe you at least one pint - thanks loads) and they are really great fun.

Here's too many pics and some videos:

P.S. the origianl videos (.mov) are almost all sideways. The program I used to rotate them converts them to .avi but they do loose some quality - so I posted both formats if anyone wants them.

Nice one Brian, yep I finally relised you are a Yank and not a maple syrup drinking puffta yesturday, as you zoomed up and down on the Bobcat and could not contain your 'Yeeehaaarrrrsss' it finally gave your indentity away.

As for Chris the jobs knackerd now for sure, as soon as he sees the little Bobcats colour matches his eyes he's definately gona have to have one.

Believe it or not we went to St Bees not long after you took the pic's and had about an hour soaring our paragliders in a perfect breeze.

I guess the speed wing brought out the redneck in me - oops.

Just my luck. I went to check to see if it was flyable on Bewaldeth (it wasn't) or Jenkin where DD and Pete R. launched from and it was flyable. But I didn't climb up. Called Dave and he got to Hexham! - About 60k. Guess I should have followed the club coach. :x but then I would have missed the speed wing.

well, I told him that if I can dig up some money I'd buy his bobcat, but with a whole new kit this year for me it'll be awhile before I can save enough.

My X-mas list gets longer each week.

Does anybody have a rich auntie I can woo?

Wow, what a wing! The 13.5m bobcat is amazing, but pleased I've got a bit experience on the 15m before flying it. I want one. :yum:
So if anyone wants a 15m bobcat let me know. They are the biz 8)
