Just back from Annecy. There's a barrier blocking the drive to launch. Many quickly drive through after the schools have driven through. The Barrier is opened by a card obtained from Doussard Mairie. It is E50 deposit but there is a daily charge of E35!!!!!!!!!.

Andy Howells (?) of the sussex tow group wrote a letter introducing ourselves as hang glider pilots and took it to the Montmin Mairie who stamped it. Andy took it down to Doussard Mairie and they duly issued the pass with no daily charge. Hoorah!
That was the situation a year ago. Except we couldn't get into marie coz it was shut.
School vans don't mind you sneaking in behind them ONLY WHEN YOU GOT GLIDERS ON THE CAR otherwise they get nasty just to let the barrier shut in front of you
