pretty unspectacular flying the south end with arse on ground arese touched ground wind fell back over shelter lifted off arse landing insiide shelter wing over shelter then 1 by 1 the lines cut away.

what you call a complete plonker but still no one hurt and another cost and inconvinience to contend with

Good job he wasn't cannoodlin, or the wing would have been shredded too :(
Do nova not give a courtesy wing out whilst getting repaired? What would be the paragliding equivalent of a ford ka?

As long as you're not hurt Gary. If you get no better offer, I have a windtech Tonic DHV1 80-100kg you could borrow but I'm sure you could get a better wing?
Cheers

Eh? A low speed, low risk incident where Gary was unlucky. He put the details of the incident in the hope that we can learn from it, hardly a time to publicly lambast him.
That makes the club look bad, encourages people to hide incidents and therefore bad for the sport.
It is a wing he needs and he can borrow mine any day of the week.
Cheers

given i have nearly 400hours flying this is the first time i have damaged a pg, it happens and have seen many club members do the same thing.

the reason we fly these little sites is for fun and know that they are not ideal, yet if you seen how many people come up and ask about the sport and want to find out where to go for training.

so as i am such a bad example then the next time i am asked and there was at least 10 last night i will not give northumbrian air sports if you feel what i am doing is bad for the sport.

things like last night only add to the entertainment factor that people love to see, why do we watch and when watching bike racing do we go to the corner where they are most likely to fall off. because we love to see the smart arses get hurt or at least we like crashes.

cheers gary
