well things seem to be healing well on the legg the dead skin was removed and the constant bandages replaced. then yesterday it all changed when i lifted my pants and thought what has just died. so another chat with my consultants as now i am some what of a celebrity.

so straight in this morning to see now my third consultant and my favourite nurse ( hilary verns ex wife) well the plaster was removed and hilary jumped back with the smell, did not take a genious to see that it was infected. so now i am on 4000mg of antibiotics and looks like ther is nno end to the end of the tunnel.

when asked is there any problems i was told if it ets into your bone you could loose your legg, to the point i thought.

well its just soldier on working 12 hours a day and just hoping by friday things ae looking better as i am not sure what happens from now.

cheers gary

Hi Gary, sorry to hear about it being infected. Not sure if you've heard of Manuka honey, it is sometimes used for such wounds, from New Zealand? I know that the NHS in Sunderland sometimes use it.
Worth a try?
Best of luck.
Cheers

Cannot have studied O'grade/O'level Biology then,

If it is any consolation Gary I got a very similar infection in my leg though happily it got cleared up. Though Jan still has a vivid memory of discovering a maggot in the wound while recovering on a Cypriot beach.
Keep up the antibiotics

Seriously though, it looks better in photo 3 than 2 so some improvement. Keep your pecker up.

Yeh Pete, just what is all this about?

You frightened Gaz might ladder his tights and your offering advice from personal experience?

Is this a hang gliding thing?

Come to think of it Ron Freeman and Wallis both look like leg shavers, wonder if they do each others?

The mind boggles!
