Xlakes help wanted...please

Post by gordie »

The XLakes will be happening in just over a weeks time. If some of you who are not taking part would like, then the CSC need your help. We need people to man the events base over the weekend including Saturday night and it would be nice to have some manned turnpoints.

If you can help in anyway please either p.m. or e.mail at gordon_oliver@hotmail.com

Well its all gone quiet in here!!!!!

'As tumble weed rolls past my window to the hollow sound of the wind'

Where have all you people gone who were right up for entering this event when I first mentioned it? And the rest of you who inundated me with offers of help at the time?

Ah well looks like you geordies can only 'talk the talk but can't walk the walk' Thanks for nothing guys. :P

As for entering such a ludicrous event, theres only a handfull of craz%$***,.. erm I meen friends I know who might be capable. And looking at the turn out for the Red Bull event in scotland, even with all there media weight could not rally many loons together. So good luck there.

As for sitting as a living bollard for 6-8 hours?, flagging's of ale and a dancing girl for entertainment might entice one or two, IF its a sunny day. First sign of any rain would find the dancing girl and I in the bar, singing songs and slapping each other thighs and laughing like loons.
