LCC/BCC??

Post by AlastairW »

Everyone who was in the lakes seems to have gone very quiet.......

How did you all get on at the weekend?
It is sad to measure your life in terms of hours flown...... but even sadder not to.........

Good weekend Alistair with high scores in the B comp.
Bill and Andrew I think were in the top 5
Jan got first woman
Overall should put us in a good position for the BCC - didn't see Ed. afterwards to get the results but using the same scores from the LCC

well as i was not part of the comp i had some realy good flying but not quite epic.

though things changed on saturday night after the the acro demo.

me chris little paul myers me and beverley chrisis pasenger, at 9.15 we give in to temptation and just had to go up and fly down so it was dive into chrisis car and 200m alt gain in the car and then a further 200 m climb to take off. we got up there at 10pm just in time to see the sunset. then i videoed chris take off then paul followed straight off , so i got hooked in and speeded off in time to catch up and spiral dive down just in time to video chris landing. it may not of been a big xc but for me it was a magical flight landing infront of the bbq and tents with the crowds showting land in the water.

fantastic and rewarding.

Definitely one of my most enjoyable flights.
Watched the sunset over the sea, on a beautiful still night, crescent moon glistening against the coastline on the most scenic of take offs. Strapped on a first time passenger, steep grassy launch... run, run, run.. nice take off looking over Crummock Water followed by Paul & Gary. Flew wing tip to wing tip out over Buttermere with Paul, beautiful, then down the lake and back toward the party watching Paul & Gary spiral dive over the water to cheers from the crowd. Bev. my passenger was just blown away by the whole experience. Low turn over the lake onto the pebble beach in front of the tents and campers. Nice landing. Beer and partying the rest of the night 8) 8) :) :) :) :)
