Thanks to the efforts of Ron Freeman, I managed to pass my CP (HG) yesterday after getting a flight from both East Hill and Hogdon Law in the same afternoon.
I started learning back in January and despite being initially cursed with bad weather, I was hooked after only a few short hops down a gentle slope. I would thoroughly recommend the Northumbria Airsports school to anyone - Ron was an excellent instructor and went out of his way to make the whole experience as enjoyable as possible. (Having seen him scampering up hillsides like a mountain goat makes me realise how unfit I am!)
Club membership is in the post and I look forward to meeting you all on the hill over the summer
