My opinion

Many may frown at me for saying this and I may not know all the facts but I think Fingers should not have been made to feel the way he does.

All of you without web design experience browse through the internet without even a thought to the time and effort put into its creation never mind its upkeep.

I have some webbuilding experience and have built photo websites for groups of photographers for which you get no thanks and when something goes wrong there on your back. Then you try to police it it and bring in new ideas and ask for peoples input which quite oftenly falls upon def ears so your forced to make a decision youreself which usually gets a prompt reply.

This isnt intended to slag people off but more as to say to Fingers I know where your coming from and hopefully people should try to understand a little more.

Regards

well said colin, sometimes you dont realise how good someting is untill it is gone. haven said all that if steve is not going to do it wel will need someone to look after things in his absence.

i for one sometimes get frustrated by the lackof response and i always try and post to help otheres to where i am flying to help low time pilots.

good work steve but remember that book how to loose freinds and influence

cheers gary see you at xfell tommorrow

If Steve really has bowed out this time and it looks as though he has, he's left us with one of the best club sites in the country which must have taken millions of man hours. Thank you Steve really isn't enough for the pleasure a lot of us get from this site, but if I can buy you pint the next time we are out as a very small token I hope you will accept.

In the mean time I can look after the forum part of the site but it will need someone else with more skill to look after the rest. I would love to see Mikey come forward to help out but I know he has a lot on his plate at the moment but we can hope.

In the meantime I have unlocked Ian Miskins ban for not being an NHPC member and as administrator I have the power ha ha ha. I feel the forum needs to relax a little and get some good content back into it and there's no one more clued up than Miskin.

If anyone complains about one of our best coaches ever being allowed on as a non member just because he's moved to Scotland I will delete you (chuckle) never to be allowed in again.

Lets all lighten up and get the fun back into our forum and flying.

Sincerely

John Wallis

Thanks for the thoughts.

I remember the "loose freinds and influence" book, and dismissed it as complete bollocks for twats. Clearly having been written by some complete arse from the USA. :)

It's worth debating Steve I still think we need an area for our pilots or people close to the club so we can talk about delicate issues. But maybe open up the rest.

Any views out there?

New members need authorising.
Old lapsed members need removing. (other wise whats the point having a private forum for private club issues)

However, as has become all so clear to everyone over the last 5 months or so the club is not prepared to police the above John,...... nore back anyone who trys to do so.

But as we are in the mood for simply letting friends into our "private forums" I know a few guys who I will let in also, they know some great knock knock jokes.

The private forums are a farce, I wish you best of luck in policing them.

As were in the season of good will. Kitt is now in, not only does he know some good knock knock jokes but he flys a killer machine.
