smashing day out on the real cross fell

Post by gary stenhouse »

well 6 of us today decided that a walk up to the top of crossfell was woth a walk. we walked up through the inversion to see some more breathtaking scenery and i'm not talking chris foster with his top off, even though there was some walkers spell bound and had to take a photo of him. well even though the ilusive top kept on moving away with every step, though once we made it , it was worth it. the good part was that we then had the oportunity to fly down through the thickest inversion i have ever seen, luckily we nearly all made it across the steps to the gully, so i wouls say a very suxsefull day.

on that point has it ever been done before on a pg? that is walking up and taking off from the top of xfell.
