X-Scotia & X-Lakes

Post by Chris L »

Two or three excellent events coming up - All based on getting around a set course in a weekend either by flying or hiking with your glider. Totally self sufficient; you choose when to fly, take-off, route selection, conditions to fly-in etc and just because you land does'nt mean its game over - pack up, hike up, and take off again. This makes paragliding comps more adventurous and fun :)
So far me and the myerscouses are entered 8)
The first is X-Scotia first flyable w/end from April 19th to May 17th, then X-Lakes early July and Ozone X-Lakes advertised first weekend in Sept.
See Gordie & Ozoneflyuk for these ones.
X-Scotia entries from Lanarkshire & Lothian Soaring Club web-site out now
or e-mail Cliff Smith at cliff1494@sky.com
Go on you know you want to (y)
Maybe the Northumbrians will keep up the winning ways (flex)

Doing a Bob Graham run sounds quite remarkable but clearly reserved for the people who have the warning "be carefull, loon" stitched into the back of there straight jacket.

Doing a Bob Graham run with a 20kg paraglider pack strapped to their back is clearly an exploitation of these poor loons by the staff who care for them. Releasing them at a given time, and I have no doubt also placing bets on the out come of these poor unfortunates.

Wheres the number for care in the community, this needs reporting.
