4th Ghana Open and Festival
(Paragliders and Hangliders)

Is being held over Easter 2008 (21st March-24th March) at Nkawkaw, which is in the Eastern Region mid-point between Accra and Kumasi. The take off point is some 400 metres (1300ft) high escarpment which overlooks a village below and the vast Volta Lake infront. This is the 4th consecutive year it has been held with approximately 17 flyers last year..

Ghana is 'the jewel in the crown of Africa' with a stable Democratic Governmant, with steady growth rate of over 6% per annum. The country is vibrant, exotic and extreemly safe, it's people are fun, kind and very courtious. The flying must be the best in Africa (after probably SA) and if you have never been to Africa it is a fabulous place to start. I have been going there since 1983 (25 years) and know it better than the village I live in!

Walter Neser is the Organiser and main contact, unfortunately there is a maximum of 20 UK pilots that can be accomodated at this years event, on a 'first come first served basis'.

Scorpion Travel and Tours Ghana Ltd, are offering a 13 day Festval and Tour (before and after Festival) or a 5 day Festival (suggest everyone takes the Gold Package, which is an Air Con Bus).

All pilots must register with Walter Neser, and suggest you at least spend a few days in Accra, sample the hot and crazy night life; and experience the unique African sunset on Accra's beaches, with a cold Star beer in hand, and watch the sky 'catch alight'!
