Saturday's hatch on Cross Fell

Post by brian day »

A friendly paraglider feeds the two fledgling pterodactyl's just hatched from their eggs today on Cross Fell. The adult male looked on from a distance manicuring his well developed porn tash. Several others were seen to flap their wings before returning to the cocoon stage, presumably either to pale into extinction once again or to hibernate for the winter.
One of the babies attempted his first flight, running down the slope squawking continuously about himself until the prehistoric flight was re-enacted. Incapable of prolonged flight, aerobatic ability, or even the slightest turn the baby flew straight from the hill to the flat lands below, where he made an ungainly landing, injuring one of his wings. The adult was seen to rush down the hill overtaking all other traffic. One can only presume he was consoling the baby as he made loud laughter type noises while stroking the injured limb.
The family of pterodactyl's met up later in a small room huddling around a fire trying to persuade the humans in their company to join their ranks. They gave advice on how to wear ear defenders whilst participating in the training to ensure success in early flights.
Happy New Year to all.
See you out there!!!!!

The lesser spotted vertebrate-less floppymaxmus-fly-backward-acus was also seen as the mists cleared sporting it's new stumpy legged flying suit. They prey on the young fledgling pterodactyls but one of the young took to flight and the floppymaxamus had no chance of catching him for food with his crap performance. His attention was focused on the much larger of the two fledgling pterodactyls as this would feed his family for several weeks. However floppymaxamus didn't have the lifting power or glide performance to carry such a prize back to the nest. The larger fledgling pterodactyl turned violent and spoke to floppymaxamus in a dog like fashion which sent him scurrying back to his lair where he belongs.

The fledgling pterodactyl's live to glide another day
