Opinons invited particularly from persons who have flown Hownam Law, about the suitability of the two North-South fields running between the river and the Hownam road for a bottom landing mainly for hang gliders. OS grid NT 781 216.
I know John Watson has landed here on the paraglider with the biggest problem not being the distance but with the occupant of the field. A very large limousin bull.
These fields are not owned by Will Thomson of Hownam Grange, but by 2 farmers each owning 1 field. Permission could be sought if they were thought suitable.

Bottom landing at Hownam
Handle every stressful situation like a dog.
If you can't eat it or play with it,
Just pee on it and walk away.
