Steve you are a gentleman! I'm really quite pleased we've got this page up and running so new pilots can see what's there to aim for during the year. I know medals aren't every ones cup of tea but it's nice to try and keep the old and new traditions alive and kicking.

Cheers man

The overall club champion - is it clear that all 6 flights have to be on one type of aircraft?

Have a look in the 'Notice' section Feb 28th 2007 - your six best XC flights (hang or para) for the Overall Club Champion.

Only three weeks left...

So you could have 3 HG flights and 3 PG flights that count all together?

No?? ...and why not? Sounds perfectly reasonable to me. If someone is overall club champ then surely it doesn't matter which kind of wing they are flying.

Dave - the rules are the 6 flights have to be on the same type of a/c. I just pointed it out to save the annual confusion not actually change anything!

If it had of been a mixture of a/c I would have had the pleasure of looking at the trophy all year instead of that swine Guthrie hogging it again!

It's only a trinket Ian man, you've flown in the "WORLD'S" you should be banned from entering the club comp.

John - your missing my point mate. I was perfectly happy with Ali winning last year!

It's just that the rules are not clear and confused both Ali and myself last year. The rules should stay the same year to year but more importantly be clear and not ambigous - that was only an observation made on the page that John and Fingers put together.

It matters not a hapeth to me now as I am not an NHPC member - it would however be nice to be as good as Guthrie one day!

So if Mr Marshall would enter the text below into the trophy page saying............

Best 6 flights on a paraglider = Paragliding champ

Best 6 flights on a hang glider = Hanglider champ

Everything will be hunkey dory (clap)

Sounds sensible to me.

Overall Club Champion

Post by ron freeman »

The buck stops here... my fault for choosing the wrong wording (hang or para)

I have already sent Steve Marshell a message to amend the wording -

It should now be - The 'Overall Club Champion' this goes to the pilot with the six best XC flights total. (all six flights can only be done on one type of wing)

Ian asked this question last year and was happy with the answer.
