West hill to sunny Newbiggin, I remember flying through the inversion to 7,500asl then spiralling 6,000ft to avoid being blown into the SRZ..

Hi Steve, onc'e through the inversion the thermals were ballistic !

I've had a wave flight in Scotland from Glen shee to 9,300asl with Colin Lark in the 1989 Scottish open HG comp. We flew 30 miles in a straight line !

1985 Kosson, Austria. flew over a two week period averaging 12-14,000ft asl with 60 mile glides between thermals, that was exciting...
