not to be missed
Next meeting 4th march
After the usual club business there will be a talk and slideshow by local adventurer and N.H.P.C. member Anto Baird.
club folklore has it that many moons ago, Anto turned up at one of the monthly meetings of the then Northumbria hang-glider club with a strange new flying duvet thing, he was the first member of our club with a paraglider .How times have changed. (I wonder what kind of reception he got, those old hangies they were a strange bunch)
Anto is a keen amateur photographer and this coupled with his recent expeditions. Which include kite skiing across the frozen Lake Baikal (the largest lake on the planet) and more recently Greenland , South Georgia and Antarctica where it’s said he kite skied to the south pole and back before breakfast, Promises to be a great show.
Antos expeditions make TV adventurer and dick head Bear Grylls look like a gay boy scout playing in a sand pit so make sure you get there early to get a good seat as I’m sure it will be a full house I look forward to seeing you all there next Wednesday

I'm sure Anto is great but if you haven't seen Bear Grylls on the hunt for the Magical Munk tree this is a must!

Well we set off from Newcastle and it was cold, things didn’t improve much from there as we got off the plane and it was VERY cold. Cue a picture of some snow...................more snow.... a tent and the tour guide.
He's going to have be nearly eaten by a polar bear to live up to Bill's Vegas style build up.
I have some holiday slides of my holiday to Norfolk last year, I fished, drank beer and sailed a boat, oh and had a couple of crossed words with the wife. But no one got hurt or went over board.
