first post CP flight

Post by Gordon C »

Today was my first post CP flight, at model ridge having been sign off last Friday by Gordie. I travelled down with Graeme G, and received a warm welcome on the hillside, Brian Rowe was already airborne, he landed and with his wise words, I was soon airborne myself, a big thumps up to Berow.
Looking skywards for another grate day flying asap. will be looking to fly weekdays and weekends, anyone I can tag along with drop a post on forum or mobile me 07770726589. Again thanks to all out on the hill today that made flight a safe enjoyable one

Congrats Gordon! Great to get up there today!

And many thanks Brian Rowe! Your advice and support is much appreciated.

I'm well up for weekdays after 5pm and most weekends! Would be great if us low air time pilots can get organised and get some ridge hours in and a few thermals over next few weeks and months....

We could go for pilot qualification and get a few handbook tasks signed off this year. Any support from veterans, coaches and instructors most welcome!

Excellent Gordon, wish I'd got out yesterday too but I dithered on the forecasting & I'm not a member of North York's yet so I didn't want to upset things at the site.
Great idea Graeme, we should start up a low airtime encouragement group, some kind of text/call service for the one's who aren't all about the big XC's...at the moment
I'm off work this week & up for getting out.
